Polarizing bender enable polarizing a wide wavelength band. In order to eliminate the line-of-sight the channel width is typically only a few millimeters. The thickness of the glass blades is only about 0.3 mm to minimize the neutron loss. When applying the concept of solid-state devices, the channel width can be reduced to about 0.1 mm the length of the device can also be significantly reduced.
