1d focusing monochromators

The 1d focusing of the monochromator is accomplished by tilting rows (vertical) or columns (horizontal) of the crystal holder. SwissNeutronics offers a standardized design with large flexibility to customize the device to the individual requirements.

Particular features are:

 

High precision:

 

< ≈0,010° (RMS, absolute)

< ±0,005° (repeatability)

Design of frame without interference with neutron beam

 

Miss-cut Si crystal holders for high transparency, e.g. application at intermediate positions of a neutron guide

Sintered B4C crystal holders for low background

Fully equipped with stepper motor, encoder/resolver, home/limit switches

Combined with goniometer stage

Additional features: shielding elements, integrated guide field, etc.
