SwissNeutronics produces a wide range of neutron beam collimators for individual applications:

  • foil collimators

  • solid state collimators

  • lamellar solid state collimators

Features of the collimators are:

  • Soller & radial collimators

  • collimation as small as 3’ (1 mrad)

  • high transmission

  • foils made from Mylar, Kapton, etc.

  • solid state collimators using Si wafers:

    • tWafer ≥ 0.1 mm

    • length: 10 – 30 mm

    • cross-sections: 10 × 10 mm² → 200 × 200 mm²

  • inclusion of magnetic guide fields
